You have the ability to send Bulk Emails and Text Messages to both your Leads and Residents through the Communications feature within Rent Dynamics.
To access Bulk Communications, select the Communications tab from the left-hand menu. You will then be redirected to the Communications page.

From the Communications page, you will be able to see previously sent correspondence and filter the information by Resident, Lead, or Both.

To create a new message, select Create New Message located in the top right corner.

You will be redirected to a new page where you will need to select your recipient list; Residents or Leads.

If you select Resident, you will be able to filter your recipient list by Building Number, Lease End Date, Move-in Date, and Pets. Once any of the filters are selected, the list of Residents on the right side will automatically match the filtered requirements.

If you select Leads, you will be able to filter your recipient list by Most Recent Contact, Initial Contact, Desired Move-in Date, Desired Bedrooms, Desired Bathrooms, Pets, and Appointment Status. When selecting the most recent contact days, select the last 60 days.

It’s also important to note that next to each Recipient, you will see a check mark if the individual has a valid email and if they have opted in to receiving text messaging from the community.

Once you have filtered your list by optionally using any of the filter selections on the left, you will need to select your recipients.You can check each box individually, or to select all, check the box in the top left corner of your list.

You will then need to select, Next: Create Message, located in the top right corner.

You will then be redirected to a new page where you will first need to decide if you are sending a Bulk Communication via Email or Text. Please make sure at any time you use this tool, both Email and Text is required to be sent out.

Bulk Email Communication
To create a Bulk Email, select Create Email, located in the center of the page.

You then be redirected to the Create Email page where you have the option to create a New email, or use a Template previously created.

If you would like to use the new email that you have just written as a template, be sure to select Add to templates, so you can use it again going forward.

If you choose to create a new email, you will be prompted to write the subject line and body text of your bulk email. You will also have the ability to add a photo and attach up to five files. They have to be a PDF, JPG, or PNG format to be attached. It can not exceed 10MB.


By selecting Save Email in the top right corner, you will be redirected to a new page where you will have the opportunity to preview your email as the Recipient. You can view the Mobile or Desktop version.

After you are satisfied with your email, select Send to # Recipients located in the top right corner. This will then send out your Bulk Email to all of the respective recipients. You will then be redirected to the Communications homepage, where you will be able to see your outbox of sent Bulk Communications.

Bulk Text Communication
To create a Bulk Text Message, select Create Text, located in the center of the page.

You then are redirected to the Create Text page where you have the option to create a New text or use a Template previously created.

If you would like to use the New Text that you have just written as a template, be sure to select Add to templates, so you can use it again going forward.

If you choose to create a New Text, you will be prompted to write your text message below. You also have the ability to utilize emoticons or attach a photo.

Once you are satisfied with your text message, select Save Text located in the top right corner.

You will then be redirected to a new page where you will have the opportunity to preview your text message as the Recipient.

If you are satisfied with your text message, select Send to # Recipients located in the right corner. This will then send out your Bulk Text to all of the respective recipients. You will then be redirected to the Communications home page, where you will be able to see your outbox of sent Bulk Communications.
There is also an option to schedule a one-time message to be sent on a specific date and time in the future.
Your community can also turn on the “Bulk Messages Approval Service” which will allow specific users to approve the bulk messages before they can be sent out. To use the Bulk Messages Approval Service with the Bulk Communications Feature you will need to reach out to your account manager to have this feature turned on and then follow the instructions in the following article.
