An opt-in text message is sent to a lead or residents phone number that provides them with the option of receiving text message reminders and promotions from the community. A lead or resident may need you to resend the text so they can opt-in to receive messages.
To resend a text message you will click the search option on the home page.

You will then be taken to a page with a section titled “Recent Contacts”. There are two
categories in this section: Leads and Residents

You will use the search bar at the top of the page to find the individual you will be resending the text to.

Once you find the individual you are looking for, you will click their name and a preview of their contact card will open up.

You will then select the “Expanded View” option in the top right corner of the contact card.
Once you are in expanded view you will scroll to the bottom of the page to the section titled “Contact Preferences”

Under this section you will find the “Text Opt-In” option. You will need to receive verbal consent from the individual permitting you to send a text message to their phone number. After receiving consent, you will check the box labeled“Lead gave verbal consent”. This will unlock the button below titled“Send Text Opt-In Message”.

This button will turn green once it has been unlocked. Now you have the ability to click the button and send the text message to the individual with the phone number they have provided.

The phone number in the box next to the “send text opt-in message” is the phone number that the message will be sent to. If their phone number needs to be changed or updated, you can do so by changing the information on their lead card.

Once you have sent the message, the resident will receive a message that gives them the option to opt in or out of the community text messaging chain. You can see when the message was last sent under the send text button.
